A catalog is a reusable list of options, such as countries, sizes or service types. Select fields in your forms take their choices from a catalog.
Each option in a catalog has a value and a label. The value is what gets stored with the answer. The label is what people see.
Because the value is stored, you can reword or translate a label at any time without affecting answers you already have.
1
Open Catalogs
Go to Forms, then Catalogs, and click Add catalog.
2
Name it
Enter a Unique name and click Create new catalog.
3
Open it
Open the catalog's row actions and choose Edit.
4
Add options
Click Add Variable, fill in the option and click Create option. Repeat for each option.
A catalog can be used by any number of select fields, in any form.
Value
What gets stored. Required.
Label
What people see. Required, and can be translated.
Category
Groups options under a heading. Can be translated.
Icon
An icon shown with the option in styles that show icons.
Color
A color for the option.
Image
An image shown with the option in styles that show images.
To change an option, choose Edit in its row. To stop offering an option, select it and click Deactivate.
1
Add a select field
In the form builder, add a select field from General components.
2
Pick the catalog
Edit the field and choose the catalog under Catalog to base.
3
Choose a style
Set Display style to Dropdown, Pills in a row, Image cards or Stacked list.
Turn on Show option images or Show option icons to use each option's image or icon. For card layouts, Columns sets how many cards fit in a row on a wide screen.
A Default value must match the value of one of the catalog's options, not its label.
