A page is one address on your site. Give it a name and a slug, and you are ready to fill it in the page builder.
Every page has a unique name that only admins see, a slug that becomes its address, the content you build, its metadata for search engines, an optional menu and footer, and security rules that decide who can open it.
All pages are listed on the Pages screen. In the admin menu, open Pages and Menus and choose Pages.
1
Click Add page
The Create page window opens.
2
Enter a Unique name
Up to 100 characters. No other page can use the same name.
3
Enter a Slug
Up to 200 characters, without a leading slash: about or blog/first-post. A single / on its own makes the page your home page. No two pages can share a slug.
4
Click Create page
The page appears in the list.
The small indicator next to the Slug label explains dynamic pages, where part of the address is a variable. See Dynamic content.
A new page is Active as soon as you create it, so anyone can open its address while it is still empty. If you would rather hide it while you work, change its Status to Deactivated in the Pages list and set it back to Active when it is ready.
Deactivated pages cannot be opened by visitors and are left out of your sitemap.
Open the row menu of a page to reach everything about it.
