Users and accounts

Managing users

The Users & Leads screen lists everyone who has an account or has left their details. From here you create people, tag them, contact them and switch them off.

Add someone by hand

1

Start

Click Add user or lead.

2

Choose the type

Under User type, pick User for someone who should be able to log in, or Lead to only keep their details.

3

Fill it in

For a user, enter a Username and Password under Credentials. Add their email and phone under Contact information.

4

Create

Click Create user or Create lead.

Adding people by hand is useful for staff accounts or contacts you met offline.

Act on several people at once

Select rows in the table, then use the buttons above it.

Deactivate and Activate

Switch people off or back on.

Add tag

Adds one or more tags to everyone selected, with an optional expiry date.

Send as SysAdmin email

Sends an email to everyone selected.

Send as SysAdmin mobile message

Sends a text message to everyone selected.

Deactivating users

A deactivated user cannot log in, and pages that are only for users stop treating them as signed in. Their record, tags and form answers are kept, so you can activate them again later.

Deactivate instead of trying to remove someone. It is reversible and keeps your history intact.

Admin permissions

What you see on this screen depends on your own admin permissions. Changing status and adding tags needs Manage users, adding people needs Create users, and the send buttons need Massive contact users.

Admin permissions are set in Manage Sys Admin, then Sys admin permissions.
